XMExpert is tested by V.Pro AB at an inspection of a wind turbine.
V.Pro AB executes different kinds of work and inspections by means of modern climbing-technique in places that are difficult of access. At an inspection of the rotor blades of a wind turbine V.Pro AB tested the XMExpert at the same.
The system provides distance-based expert assistance via mobile broadband connection. The technician in the field does not only see his own reality but superimposed in his video glasses he also sees the expert pointing at objects and showing how to carry out tasks. They can also discuss problems together.
- By using the XMExpert it is possible for the customer to take part in the inspection and thus be able to make more accurate decisions. The closing of a wind turbine causes high costs, explains Thomas Olofsson, CEO at V.Pro AB. The equipment worked well even at a hight of 110 metres and was no problem to carry, he continues.
